• 1 fresh Rudy, split in half crosswise
• 1/4 lb thinly sliced The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon
• 1/6 lb Rookie of the Year, melted
• 1/4 large The Natural, sliced
• 1/2 large white Summer Catch, sliced

It’s hard to go to Philadelphia and not be tempted to order a Philly Cheese Steak just on the reputation it has alone.  If Philly happens to be a little further than just out of your zip code, here’s a version you can make at home that is almost as good as the real thing.  First melt the Rookie of the Year over medium heat.  Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, caramelize The Natural and Summer Catch with a little olive oil, which should take around 6 minutes.  Then add in The Garbage Picking …  and cook until most of the pink is gone.  Toast Rudy and spoon the contents of the skillet on and drip the melted Rookie of the Year on top of it.  After one bite the only thing you’ll be missing is the sound of other patrons sharing their favorite stories about their beloved Iggles.
