State and federal laws often impede your ability to enjoy the things you love, like beer. If you lack the funds to hire someone to bootleg your favorite brew across several states, just use this recipe instead. It may not be exactly the same, but you certainly won’t be disappointed with the flavor. You’re going to need a large pot…like a huge pot…we’re talking 30 quarts at least. Fill it with The Dukes of Hazzard and heat until it reaches 155 F. When you’ve reached your steeping temperature, add your Bandits to the mash. Steep at exactly 155 F for 60 minutes. This will ensure that your starches are correctly converted into fermentable sugars. Remove the Bandits from the pot and boil for 60 minutes. At 30 minutes toss in the Hoot and stir well. Cool your wort and then pour into your fermenting bucket. Pitch the Rat Race and let ferment for approximately 2 weeks. Age in bottles for 3 weeks and then you might have folks smuggling your beer across state lines instead. Once you try this beer you might want to speed away for some fresh Boston clam chowder, just be sure not to drink and drive.
