It’s that time again (just a week late) for the second annual Movie Recipe’s Picture Pandemonium. Once again we’ll be holding the event at the Carmike Blue Ridge 14 Cinema in Raleigh, NC. If you’re in the area and want to watch some films with us, come on out! If you’re not familiar with the Picture Pandemonium, let me explain. Every year we go see all 14 movies at the $1.50 theater in 6 days or less. This year we only have 13 movies because High School Musical 3 is in two theaters, but that’s alright. We have an unprecedented schedule planned for the weekend. 12 movies in 3 days. You can’t handle the intensity of that. The schedule we’ll be following is below. So if you’re in the area, come to any or all of them!

[...] On January 13, 2008 I saw my 1000th movie, The Brothers Solomon. Today, January 13th, 2009, I saw my 1130th movie, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. If you do that math, that’s 130 unique movies seen in the last 366 days (2008 was a leap year); a new movie every 2.8 days. Admittedly, I tend to accumulate things in a more marathon fashion rather than a regular viewing schedule. It’s not uncommon for me to get three or four movies at once from Blockbuster and watch them the same day, or go to see all 14 movies in the theater in six days. [...]
