This is the actual recipe inspired by The Reader for our series of 2009 Oscar party dishes.
1 cup sour cream- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/8 – 1/4 cup milk
- 1 Tbsp parsley
- 2 tsp dill weed
- 1 tsp minced onions
- 1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper
Begin by mixing the sour cream and mayonnaise together in a bowl. Add in dill weed, parsley, minced onions, and cayenne pepper and stir until they are evenly mixed. Lastly, stir in 1/8 cup of milk. Add an additional 1/8 cup milk if the dip is too thick for your liking. Refrigerate for a few hours before serving. Serve with assorted vegetables, pretzels, or chips.
Makes 1 1/2 to 2 cups
