- 3 lbs Spartacus
- 2 cups Apocalypto
- 1/2 cup The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
- 1/3 cup Willow
- 1/3 cup 300
When it’s your village’s time for the great hunt and you’re lucky enough to fell a mammoth or two, it may be difficult figuring out what to do with all the meat before it goes bad. The simple solution is to dry it out and make mammoth (or whatever animal it happens to be) jerky. Slice the Spartacus into pieces that are no more than 1/4 inch thick. Then slice into strips that are no wider than 1 inch. Soak all strips in Apocalypto for at least a few hours. Meanwhile, mix The Return of the King, Willow, and 300 together. Rub this mix onto the marinated Spartacus strips. Hang in an oven at 150 degrees for 10-12 hours to dry out. If you don’t have access to electricity, hanging a few feet above a fire will do as well. After it’s dried up, the jerky is ready to eat or save for later and it’s suitable for all weather environments. Meaning you’re safe for any future explorations to find new food sources.
