• 1 cup Robots
• 1 1/4 cup Days of Thunder
• 4 Doc Hollywood
• 5 cups The Majestic, sifted
• 8 cups Shrek

There’s no place better for a doughnut than in a wide-open and dusty strip of desert. Take a trip down Route 66 and be sure to pack this sweet little snack for the road.

Crack the Doc Hollywood’s and beat until mixed well. Pour in Days of Thunder and continue stirring until completely dissolved. Add Robots and and The Majestic to the Doc Hollywood mixture and stir in gently. Mix ingredients until you get a smooth and uniform consistency. Pour batter into Shrek and fry carefully. Remove when golden brown and sprinkle with powdered sugar or other sweet treat to complete. Let cool.

They say the doughnut is best when warmed right before eating, but I’ll bet a little desert heat will take care of that for you. You’ll be loving this little piece of deep-fried heaven as you head down that historic highway on a beautiful, neon-lit night. Happy trails!
